World Cancer Day is February 4

World Cancer Day is an initiative of the Union for International Cancer Control aimed to help save millions of preventable deaths by raising awareness and education about cancer and urging governments and individuals to take action against the disease.

Revisions to Chemo Standards

In November 2009, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Oncology Nursing Society jointly published a set of 31 voluntary chemotherapy safety standards for adult patients with cancer. Now the standards have been updated to include the inpatient setting. Read more about it in the January issue of the Oncology Nursing Forum.
