Team Achievement Award
Award: Monetary award of $250, plaque (team award), plus one roundtrip coach airfare and one day per diem for one team member (t.b.d by the team) to attend the Opening Ceremonies at Congress.
Purpose: To recognize small teams (minimum of three, maximum of ten) for outstanding contributions within their workplace, in improving patient care, and/or making a difference in their community.
Selection Criteria:
- Through a team effort, provide a valuable service, process improvement, or contribution to the workplace and/or community resulting in improved patient care and/or improved education.
- Team project includes a demonstration of commitment to ONS Core Values .
- Team project results in increased patient and community awareness of the value of the oncology nursing profession to the well-being of the patient population.
- The leader of the team must be a Registered Nurse (RN) and a member of ONS.
Application Process
The October 31st awards submission deadline has now passed. Please note that selected award recipients will be notified in early 2012. The next awards cycle will commence after ONS Congress (May, 2012) and individual award applications will be posted at that time.
