What is the ONS Re­source Area?

The ONS Re­source Area will be lo­cat­ed near the reg­is­tra­tion area and it is where you can meet with rep­re­sen­ta­tives from ONS and the ONS Foun­da­tion. It's your one-?stop in­for­ma­tion shop. You can learn more about your mem­ber ben­e­fits, check out ONS's new so­cial net­work­ing site, do­nate to the Foun­da­tion, and much more. Need to check your email? Visit the In­ter­net Café in the ONS Re­source Area. It will pro­vide you with free In­ter­net ac­cess so that you can check your email re­mote­ly.

I would like to find the ca­reer re­source cen­ter. Where will it be lo­cat­ed?

The ca­reer re­source cen­ter is lo­cat­ed in at the ONS Booth #520 in the ex­hib­it hall. The ex­hib­it hall is where ex­hibitors will fea­ture new prod­ucts, ser­vices, and tech­nolo­gies in can­cer care. You can meet with rep­re­sen­ta­tives from the phar­ma­ceu­ti­cal in­dus­try, hos­pi­tals, ad­vo­ca­cy groups, and more. The ONS will also lead you to find loads of con­tin­u­ing nurs­ing ed­u­ca­tion, pub­lish­ing in­for­ma­tion, and a ca­reer re­source cen­ter.

Where can I buy the lat­est vol­ume in the Site-Spe­cif­ic Can­cer Se­ries?

You will need to visit the ONS Store to buy that book. The ONS Store is where all of the So­ci­ety's pub­li­ca­tions are dis­count­ed for at­ten­dees. You can also get ONS gear, in­clud­ing t-?shirts, mugs, and more.

Where can I net­work with other first time con­fer­ence at­ten­dees?

Check out the chatter online! The ONS Facebook page, Twitter, and YouTube channel all feature conference information.

How do I get CNE for the con­fer­ence ses­sions I at­tend­ed?

Com­plete your con­fer­ence eval­u­a­tion on the ONS Eval­u­a­tion Cen­ter. This quick and con­ve­nient for­mat al­lows you to enter your eval­u­a­tion data and com­ments from the com­fort of your of­fice or home. By com­plet­ing the on­line eval­u­a­tion you will get your con­fer­ence CNE cer­tifi­cate im­me­di­ate­ly. You will have until De­cem­ber 9 to com­plete your eval­u­a­tion if you use the on­line sys­tem.

How can my col­leagues get the in­for­ma­tion I just learned?

Ses­sions will be cap­tured live and will be avail­able on­line via the ONS Live Learn­ing Cen­ter. You and your col­leagues will be able to view the ses­sions at your con­ve­nience and earn up to 20.5 con­tact hours. Ex­pe­ri­ence these mul­ti­me­dia recre­ations with syn­chro­nized slides, hand­outs, and more. You can even down­load the ses­sions in MP3 for­mat to your iPod or other MP3 play­er to lis­ten on the go. Record­ings will also be on sale out­side the ONS Store at the con­ven­tion cen­ter and on­line after the event. Don’t miss this chance to con­tin­ue the learn­ing at home or in the of­fice. Registration for the conferences is separate. You would need to register for IOL if you would like to attend. Day registrations are available for those who would like to attend portions of IOL. Register online now. Please refer to the IOL schedule for complete session information.

You can earn extra con­tact hours through satel­lite sym­posia, in­de­pen­dent ed­u­ca­tion­al events held in con­junc­tion with ONS con­fer­ences. They are not of­fi­cial ONS events and are held out­side of the hours of reg­u­lar ONS ac­tiv­i­ties. Con­tact hours earned through these events are free, and many in­clude break­fast, lunch, or din­ner as part of the pro­gram.
