Heading to the APN Conference for the first time? We want to make sure you have all the information you need to make your conference experience a memorable one. Here are some FAQs to help you make the most of the conference.

What is the ONS Resource Area?
The ONS Resource Area will be located near the registration area and it is where you can meet with representatives from ONS and the ONS Foundation. It's your one-?stop information shop. You can learn more about your member benefits, check out ONS's new social networking site, donate to the Foundation, and much more. Need to check your email? Visit the Internet Café in the ONS Resource Area. It will provide you with free Internet access so that you can check your email remotely.
I would like to find the career resource center. Where will it be located?
The career resource center is located in at the ONS Booth #520 in the exhibit hall. The exhibit hall is where exhibitors will feature new products, services, and technologies in cancer care. You can meet with representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, hospitals, advocacy groups, and more. The ONS will also lead you to find loads of continuing nursing education, publishing information, and a career resource center.
Where can I buy the latest volume in the Site-Specific Cancer Series?
You will need to visit the ONS Store to buy that book. The ONS Store is where all of the Society's publications are discounted for attendees. You can also get ONS gear, including t-?shirts, mugs, and more.
Where can I network with other first time conference attendees?
Check out the chatter online! The ONS Facebook page, Twitter, and YouTube channel all feature conference information.
How do I get CNE for the conference sessions I attended?
Complete your conference evaluation on the ONS Evaluation Center. This quick and convenient format allows you to enter your evaluation data and comments from the comfort of your office or home. By completing the online evaluation you will get your conference CNE certificate immediately. You will have until December 9 to complete your evaluation if you use the online system.
How can my colleagues get the information I just learned?
Sessions will be captured live and will be available online via the ONS Live Learning Center. You and your colleagues will be able to view the sessions at your convenience and earn up to 20.5 contact hours. Experience these multimedia recreations with synchronized slides, handouts, and more. You can even download the sessions in MP3 format to your iPod or other MP3 player to listen on the go. Recordings will also be on sale outside the ONS Store at the convention center and online after the event. Don’t miss this chance to continue the learning at home or in the office. Curious? If I am registered for the ONS Advanced Practice Nursing Conference, can I also attend the ONS Institutes of Learning?
Registration for the conferences is separate. You would need to register for IOL if you would like to attend. Day registrations are available for those who would like to attend portions of IOL. Register online now. Please refer to the IOL schedule for complete session information.
Don't Forget To...
Check out the satellite symposia offered at the APN Conference. You can earn extra contact hours through satellite symposia, independent educational events held in conjunction with ONS conferences. They are not official ONS events and are held outside of the hours of regular ONS activities. Contact hours earned through these events are free, and many include breakfast, lunch, or dinner as part of the program.
