Get to Know Your Fellow APNs—a Great Bunch of People!

It takes a special kind of person to be an oncology nurse. It is one of the most challenging nursing specialties—but it’s also one of the most rewarding. At the APN Conference, you can connect with other advanced practice cancer nurses, learn about new products in the exhibit hall, check out the latest resources available through ONS and its affiliates, or go online and meet other attendees virtually.

Here are a couple suggestions to get the most out of your time at the APN Conference:

  • Pack business cards with you so that it’s easy to share your contact information with new friends and colleagues.
  • Visit the ONS Information Station, located in the exhibit hall, to learn more about ONS special interest groups (SIGs)—communities of members with similar interests or working in common practice settings. ONS has more than 30 SIGs to choose from (including nurse practitioners and clinical nurse specialist SIGs) and, members can join for free!
  • Make plans with your fellow nurses to enjoy some of the many local activities.

Make the most of social networking—from Facebook, to Twitter, and more, it’s a great way to connect to fellow attendees.

Connect to New Knowledge, Technology, Products, and Services in the Commercial Exhibit Hall

Discover the latest product and treatment information, meet with potential employers, connect to advocacy groups, and more—all in one convenient location.

Visit the ONS Information Station for “All Things ONS”

The ONS Information Station link to ONS Information Station page is your destination for free CNE, career resources, membership information, and more. Pick up the latest issue of CNE Central, browse new ONS publications, attend career resource workshops, and more.
