Connect
Congress is about more than continuing nursing education. It’s an opportunity to truly connect to other oncology nurses from across the United States and even from around the world. When you’re in Boston, be sure to take advantage of all of the networking opportunities available to you. Here are some tips to make as many connections as possible while at Congress:
- Pack business cards with you so that it’s easy to share your contact information with new friends and colleagues.
- Visit the ONS Information Station, located in the exhibit hall, to learn more about ONS special interest groups (SIGs)—communities of members with similar interests or working in common practice settings. ONS has more than 30 SIGs to choose from, and members can join for free! All SIGs meet at Congress! Check the session schedule for dates and times.
- Make the most of social networking—from Facebook, to Twitter, and more, it’s a great way to connect to fellow attendees.
