Goal
The goal of the Institute for Evidence-Based Practice is to build a foundation of participant skill sets and change processes required for successful evidence-based practice (EBP) change.
Target Audience
Registered nurses caring for oncology patients at any point in the care continuum who are committed to the implementation of EBP change to improve quality patient care and outcomes.
Program Objectives
At the conclusion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Identify the elements of EBP.
- Demonstrate the use of practice change theory in EBP.
- Develop an action plan to be applied in their clinical setting.
- Establish and participate in a mentoring relationship.
Continuing Nursing Education
Attendees of the ONS Foundation Institute for Evidence-Based Practice Change can earn continuing nursing education credit (total amount to be determined). Participants must attend the entire conference and submit a completed evaluation within the specified time frame to receive CNE credit.
ONS is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation.
ONS is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2850.
