Facebook is the premier social media site, with over 250 million accounts. The ability to reach and connect with our membership via this outlet is almost limitless. Facebook allows users to share their thoughts and ideas, update content, post photographs or videos, and connect with others in similar social or professional arenas.
ONS maintains a presence on this social media site through a variety of pages and groups. Our two main accounts are the ONS page and the ONS group. The page is frequently updated with links to online content, such as articles from ONS Connect, and reminders about new and ongoing educational courses. The group is a discussion forum where oncology nurses can share their thoughts on pertinent topics, share job leads, or simply connect with colleagues.
In addition to these two sites, ONS also maintains a Hygeia Media page, which updates fans on the latest book offerings from our publishing imprint, and an Oncology Nursing Month page.
