Thursday, November 10 • 8 am – 5 pm
This trainer course covers the fundamentals of presenting the ONS Cancer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course, including principles of adult learning, teaching techniques, and practical suggestions for logistical concerns. It also provides trainers with suggestions for making their programs profitable and promoting their trainers.

To be eligible to become a trainer, nurses must be an ONS member and have a bachelor’s degree or higher in nursing or a health-related field and a current ONS Cancer Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Card, have a minimum of two years’ experience administering chemotherapy, and have experience presenting professional nursing-education content. In addition, all 2005 trainer course applicants must be ONCC certified by January 2007. Applicants for all 2006 trainer courses must be certified at the time of their application.

Nurses who attend this course in its entirety will earn 6.3 contact hours following submission of an evaluation form.
