Radiation Therapy Course
Thursday, November 10 • 8 am – 5 pm This introductory one-day course—offering 8.4 continuing-education credits—will benefit both inpatient and ambulatory-care nurses who care for patients receiving radiation therapy. Nurses who are new to radiation therapy may also find this introductory review useful. Topics that will be addressed include principles of radiation therapy, new radiation treatment modalities, and side effect management. The ONS Manual for Radiation Oncology Nursing Practice and Education (3rd ed.) will serve as the required text for the course and is included in your registration fee. In addition, you will have the opportunity to dialogue with other nurses during roundtable discussions at lunch. Course tuition includes detailed handout materials as well as breakfast, lunch, coffee, and water on the day of the course. See section 2 of the official IOL registration form or register online today. Space is limited, so registrants will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis. We suggest registering early to secure your seat in the course. Cost: ONS members–$165; Nonmembers–$260
