Meeting Your Unique Educational Needs

Excel as an Advanced Practice Nurse
The challenges you face as an advanced practice nurse (APN) present unique educational needs. ONS understands this and is committed to providing you with indispensable knowledge and tools through its Oncology Nurse Practitioner Conference—the one event designed to provide the information and skills you need to excel as an APN with prescriptive privileges.

Choose the Sessions That Interest You
This year's plenary sessions focus on the critical issues affecting you and your patients, including pain management, radiation, and health policy. You'll also have the opportunity to choose from breakout sessions on topics such as:

  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Steroids in oncology
  • Hypersensitivity reactions
  • Collaborative practice
  • Polypharmacy
  • Advanced publishing strategies
  • Sexuality and fertility
  • Sickle cell disease
  • Special Offer: Get Even More Education
Because this conference is held in conjunction with the ONS Sixth Annual Institutes of Learning, you can take advantage of a special crossover offer and attend select IOL sessions on November 13, allowing you to get even more information and more continuing-education credits!

Expand Your Knowledge . . . Improve Patient Care
This year's conference promises to be even more exciting than last year's inaugural event. We've listened to past attendees to enhance and improve on an already successful program. You won't want to miss this chance to get the information you need to expand your clinical skills and improve the care you provide to your patients and their families. We'll see you in Phoenix!

    Why Should You Attend?
  • It's the one educational event designed specifically to meet the educational needs of nurse practitioners caring for patients with cancer.
  • You'll get information that will enhance your practice and improve the care you provide to your patients.
  • You can network and share ideas with your advanced practice peers.
  • Continuing Education
Attendees can earn 15.0 contact hours if all educational sessions within the Oncology Nurse Practitioner Conference are attended. Additional contact hours may be earned through attendance at industry-sponsored ancillary events or at the ONS Sixth Annual Institutes of Learning on November 13. Sessions that address pharmacology content have specified the number of minutes devoted to pharmaceutical therapy. APNs can determine the total number of pharmacology hours attended and document this on their CNE certificate. Participants can earn up to 4.42 pharmacology hours. ONS is accredited as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation and by the California Board of Registered Nursing-BRN Provider No. 2850. Accreditation as an ANCC provider refers only to its continuing-education activities and does not imply ANCC Commission on Accreditation endorsement of any commercial products. The credits you earn at this conference qualify for ONC-PRO points needed for ONCC certification renewal.
