February 12-14, 2009 • Orlando, Florida

PurposeObjectives

The ONS 10th National Conference on Cancer Nursing Research is the most comprehensive cancer nursing research event of its kind. It’s where researchers, doctoral students, clinical trials nurses, advanced practice nurses, and others gather to learn about current and emerging research issues, methods, and findings. Discover how to apply these findings to practice, education, research, and policy.

Abstracts Due June 10!

Abstracts are being accepted through Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at 5 pm ET. Submit your abstract now.

  • Podium and Poster Sessions: Abstracts may be submitted for completed research, research in progress, evidence-based practice projects, and issues in research.
  • State-of-the-Science Lectureship: This lectureship facilitates the advancement of oncology nursing science through the synthesis of current research on a specific cancer-care symptom, outcome, or issue. Abstracts may be submitted by nurse scientists at all levels of professional development.
  • Victoria Mock New Investigator Award: This award recognizes the contributions of new investigators in building a scientific foundation for oncology nursing practice. Selection will be based on the review of materials that are representative of productivity within cancer nursing research since earning a doctoral degree.
  • New! Special Symposia Sessions: The aim of the symposium is to comprehensively review a topic of interest to cancer nursing research with 3 or 4 speakers who exhibit expertise in the topic area. Each symposia submission, which includes 3 or 4 abstracts on a specific topic, needs to be submitted by a coordinator who may also serve as one of the speakers. Click here for symposium submissions.
  • New! Late-Breaking Research Session: A separate call for abstracts will be sent out in the fall. Late-breaking abstract submissions will be due December 2. The four top-scoring abstracts from this specific call will be chosen for this session.
