Update Your Profile So ONS Can Better Serve You

Not all oncology nurses are alike. Your roles, practice settings, patient populations, and more differ. ONS recognizes this and strives to ensure you’re getting the information and resources you need from your professional association. One way we do this is to customize the information you receive from us based on the demographics in your ONS profile. As you know, the healthcare landscape is rapidly changing; ONS recently updated the demographics it collects to better reflect the world in which you practice.

Please take a few minutes to update your ONS profile to ensure we have the most current information about who you are and what you do.

In addition to using your profile to customize the information you receive from ONS, we also look at overall membership demographics when planning educational programs, publications, conference sessions, and more. Your input will help to shape future ONS initiatives, and ensure that they continue to meet your needs. Furthermore, when looking for volunteers to serve on the project and planning teams that develop these programs and activities, we review the information provided by members in their profiles to match members with the volunteer positions that are best suited to their particular skills and expertise.

Updating your profile is quick and easy. Just log in and then click on the demographics tab to the left.

Additionally, ONS wholeheartedly believes that every nurse is a leader. Because of this, we’re looking to learn more about how you lead not only in your practice but also in your community. We also look at leadership experience when selecting volunteers for projects like conference planning teams, membership advisory panels, and more. So, once you fill out your demographic information, please be sure to update the professional and leadership expertise area of your profile. It won’t take long, and it’s the first step in getting more involved in ONS at the national level.
