ONS Receives Publishing Award

The American Medical Writers Association (AMWA) has recognized the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) with an Honorable Mention award for the book Nursing Management: Principles and Practice, 2nd ed. in the Non-Physician Category. The book is edited by Mary Magee Gullatte, PhD, RN, ANP-BC, AOCN®, FAAN, president of ONS. Gullatte is the vice president of Patient Services and chief nursing officer at Emory University Hospital Midtown and adjunct clinical faculty at the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing at Emory University, both in Atlanta, GA.

The award will be presented at AMWA’s 72nd Annual Conference in Sacramento, CA, on October 5. “The competition for these awards is very strong, with entries from all of the major publishers and a wide range of medical disciplines. We are very honored to receive this award,” said Barbara Sigler, RN, MNEd, Publisher and Director of Commercial Publishing at ONS.
