ONS Awarded for Publishing Excellence

PITTSBURGH, PA – June 15, 2010 – The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) was honored by the Association Media and Publishing as a winner of the esteemed EXCEL Award in two categories at its recent 30th Annual EXCEL Awards Gala in Washington, DC. The categories include:

  • Silver Award, Newsletters – General Excellence: ONS Connect.
    “We are proud to receive the Silver award for ONS Connect,” said Editor Debra Wujcik, RN, PhD, AOCN®. “The publication is a team effort between volunteer oncology nurses who find the most relevant and current information and the ONS staff who consistently produce a high quality, engaging news magazine.”
  • Bronze Award, Books – Non-Technical Book: Woman Cancer Sex and Man Cancer Sex
    “I am very happy to have two of our latest books from the ONS imprint, Hygeia Media, receive such a prestigious award,” said Barbara Sigler, RN, MNEd, director of publications. “We are very proud of our publications and receiving this award reinforces the quality and consistency of the work of our authors.”
