ONS Secures New Tenant

Industrial Scientific Corporation has signed a lease with the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) in RIDC Park West. The 35,000-square foot Findlay Township location will serve as their primary development and commercial facility. The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Oakdale.

“We look forward to welcoming Industrial Scientific Corporation and sharing our ideal location with our new tenants,” said Paula Rieger, RN, MSN, CAE, FAAN, Chief Executive Officer of ONS. Following renovations, the new tenants take occupancy in January 2011. ONS continues to seek a tenant for the remaining 10,000 square feet of available space in the building.

The ONS Building was completed in 2002 and is the national headquarters for the staff of 130 employees of the Oncology Nursing Society, a professional organization of more than 36,000 registered nurses and other healthcare professionals who specialize in oncology nursing. ONS has been a Parkway West corridor fixture since its incorporation in 1975 when it opened its first office on Washington Road. As the organization’s staff and member offerings expanded, ONS moved its offices to Banksville Road, followed by Greentree Road, then Foster Plaza, before building its own state-of-the-art building in Findlay Township. The ONS Building is recognized as a “green” building by the Green Building Alliance of Pittsburgh.
