Research Funding - Funding Opportunities Through ONS Foundation

Applications due: June 1, 2005

Purpose: To support short-term oncology research training and mentorship. Specific activities that are supported by this funding are listed in the application.

Award: The one-year award is for $18,700. The fellow receives up to $15,000 to cover research-related expenses. Fellows also receive up to $1,700 to attend ONS Congress. The mentor or the mentor's institution will receive a $2,000 award in the form of an unrestricted honorarium to cover the mentor's consultative or research-related expenses and/or other institutional costs.

Eligibility: Registered nurses with a doctoral degree and an interest in oncology are eligible to be funded to work with a senior investigator who has an existing research program relevant to oncology nursing.
