Martha Kershaw, RN, BSN, OCN^®

Martha Kershaw, RN, BSN, OCN^® received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Niagara University in 1993. She received her Master of Science in Nursing Education from Daemen College in Amherst, New York in January of 2010. Martha as been an ONS member since 2007 and an OCN^® certified nurse since 2007. She has served as the website coordinator for the Western New York (WNY) ONS Chapter since 2008 and is also President Elect of the WNY Chapter.

Martha joined the Nursing Education Department at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI) in 2004.  As a Staff Development Instructor her current responsibilities include both clinical and classroom education, providing education to nursing staff within RPCI and nursing staff from other facilities or community organizations. She is responsible for the coordination of the Surgical Oncology Orientation, Critical Care Orientation, and specialized orientation such as Agency Nurse orientation as needed. She also coordinates the orientation for non-licensed support personnel.

Additionally Martha is responsible for update and maintenance of the Nursing Education website on the RPCI internal homepage and also works part time as a Clinical Faculty for a local private community college providing instruction/supervision to nursing students for their clinical rotation at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
