was recognized in the HealthCare Provider Category. The award recognized
that the ONS Website "displays a nice clean Design and Layout of
Website, with quality content and informative information for your visitors."
10th Annual Webby Awards
The www.cancersymptoms.org
website has been named an Official Honoree in the 10th
Annual Webby Awards. Webby Awards recognize sites that demonstrate
a standard of excellence signifying an outstanding caliber of work. Sites
were evaluated using numerous criteria including content, structure and
navigation, visual design, interactivity, functionality, and overall experience.
ONS Website Wins Highest Award
The ONS Website has received the Gold award from the 2005 World Wide Web Health Awards. ONS received the Gold award in the Association / Professional Society division. In fact, the ONS Website was the only Gold award winner in the entire Miscellaneous / Professional classification which is comprised of seven divisions. There were over 1100 entries for this competition.
The World Wide Web Health Awards is a program that recognizes the best health-related Web sites for consumers and professionals. A panel of international health information and Internet experts judged entries based on numerous criteria including content, creativity, site design, navigation, accuracy, success in reaching the targeted audience and overall quality. The ONS Website scored in the highest category which is Exceptional.
Medicine on the Net
The March 2006 issue of Medicine on the Net announced the winners from the 2006 Medicine on the Net Web Excellence Awards. The ONS Website has received the Outstanding Content award in the Medical Association category and the Best User Interface award in the Healthcare Professionals Portal category. The www.cancersymptoms.org website has received the Outstanding Content award in the Consumer Portal category and an honorable mention for Best Design in the Consumer Portal category.
