ONS Distinguished Awards

All awards, grants, and scholarships are tentative and subject to change based on funding availability.

Honorary Membership (EX03)

Award: A certificate, one coach airfare to ONS annual Congress, one-day per diem for Congress, and an ONS pin.

Purpose: To honor individuals (members and nonmembers) who have made significant contributions to oncology nursing, demonstrated a sustained interest and support of ONS at the national level, and exhibited conduct consistent with organizational values.

Selection Criteria:

• The individual must be nominated by an ONS member and receive unanimous approval from the ONS Board of Directors.
• The nominee's accomplishments must minimally be specific to the field of oncology. His or her contributions must be significant and must demonstrate a sustained interest in and support of ONS at the national level and exhibit conduct consistent with organizational values. A listing of these contributions must support the validity of the recognition.

Application Deadline: The deadline for completed application is January 1, 2009.
