Pearl Moore "Making a Difference" Award (EX06)

Award: A $2,000 award, one coach airfare to ONS annual Congress, one-day per diem for Congress, and a plaque.

Purpose: The Pearl Moore Making A Difference Award is to recognize an oncology Registered Nurse (RN) who has made a difference in oncology nursing at the local or regional level. This award is designed to recognize emerging local and regional nurse leaders.

Selection Criteria: To be eligible for the award, the nominee must be a current RN active member of ONS. The ONS Board of Directors will consider how the nominee:

1. advances the profession of oncology nursing and quality cancer care at the local or regional level
2. mentors nurses in the practice of oncology nursing
3. demonstrates leadership at the local or regional level

Application deadline is August 15, 2008.
