Tools and Handouts
As ovarian cancer and endometrial may be of familial or genetic origin, it is important for patients to discuss their personal and family history of disease with their physicians. The U.S. Surgeon general has launched the Family History Initiative, a national public health campaign to focus attention on the importance of family health history. Patients should be encouraged to access this web site where they may enter their family’s medical history and bring this pedigree with them to their appointments with their healthcare providers. This Family History Initiative may be found on this link, http://www.hhs.gov/familyhistory.
