CLAS standards
The CLAS standards are primarily directed at health care organizations; however, individual providers are also encouraged to use the standards to make their practices more culturally and linguistically accessible. The principles and activities of culturally and linguistically appropriate services should be integrated throughout an organization and undertaken in partnership with the communities being served
CulturalMed
"CulturedMed" is a web site and a resource center of print materials promoting culturally-competent health care for refugees and immigrants. This project provides support to the health care community and newcomers to our country by providing practical information regarding culture and health care from both viewpoints.
The Mautner Project
The Mautner Project is a National Lesbian Health Organization. Removing the Barriers (RTB) is a training program designed by the Mauter Project to educate and bring awareness to health care providers about Lesbian health care needs.
Gay and Lesbian Medical Association
The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) an organization that works to ensure equality in health care for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals and health care professionals, has developed provider “Guidelines for the care of Lesbian, gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Patients” that can be downloaded here.
Intercultural Cancer Council
The Intercultural Cancer Council (ICC) promotes policies, programs, partnerships, and research to eliminate the unequal burden of cancer among racial and ethnic minorities and medically underserved populations in the United States and its associated territories.

National Coalition of Ethnic Minority Nurse Associations (NCEMNA)
A unified force advocating for equity and justice in nursing and health care for ethnic minority populations.
National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities
The National Center on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NCMHD) promotes minority health and to lead, coordinate, support, and assess the NIH effort to reduce and ultimately eliminate health disparities. NCMHD conducts and support basic, clinical, social, and behavioral research, promote research infrastructure and training, foster emerging programs, disseminate information, and reach out to minority and other health disparity communities.
