Fatigue Clinical Resource AreaWelcome to the ONS resource area dedicated exclusively to the treatment of cancer related fatigue. This resource area focuses on information related to fatigue experienced by patients receiving oncology treatments. Fatigue is the most common symptom reported among cancer patients. Caner treatments themselves are tiresome. Fatigue impacts oncology patients' quality of life in numerous ways. Fatigue affects activities of daily living, mental health, and social relationships. While there is no single remedy for this symptom, oncology nurses continue to search for ways to help patients. ONS actively supports many nursing scientists and researchers who are studying the impact of fatigue on the cancer patient. Nurse researchers are studying fatigue models, toxicity scales, and nursing interventions to mitigate this troublesome symptom and improve the quality of life of cancer patients across the board. Stay abreast about the latest information on fatigue here. |
