ONS Website Editorial Board: Biographical Information

Deborah Braccia, RN, MPA, OCN^®

Deborah Braccia, RN, MPA, OCN^® received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Georgetown University and a Masters of Public Administration in Health Policy and Management from New York University in 1999. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in health policy at the Columbia University School of Nursing. Deborah as been an ONS member since 1993 and an OCN^® certified nurse since 1996. She has served on the ONS Website Editorial Board since 2003.

Deborah has published numerous articles and participates in a wide range of organizations and volunteer activities. She has participated on the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing Review Board, and the Nurse in Washington Internship program. She served as a mentor in the Clinical Journal of Oncology Nursing Mentor/Fellow Writing Program, serves on the New York City ONS Chapter Board, and participated as a fellow in the Leadership Development Institute.

Deborah is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, Association of Clinical Research Professionals, Eastern Nursing Research Society, International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research, the Society for Medical Decision Making and AcademyHealth.

Her employment background includes clinical trial management, development and presentation of numerous educational programs, training, website management and nine years as a clinical nurse at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Deborah is currently employed as an Area Scientific Associate Director, Medical Science Liaison with Novartis Oncology.
