Continuing Nursing Education Information
Attendees can earn 11 contact hours if all educational sessions (mini-institutes and open sessions)
within the body of Institutes of Learning (IOL) are attended in their entirety. Additional contact hours may be earned through attendance at industry-sponsored satellite symposia.
Sessions that address pharmacology content have specified the number of minutes devoted to
pharmaceutical therapy. Advanced practice nurses will be able to determine the total number of pharmacology hours attended and document this on their CNE certificate.
ONS is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC’s) Commission on Accreditation.
ONS is approved as a provider of continuing education by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider #2850.
Accreditation as an ANCC provider refers only to its continuing-education activities and does not imply ANCC Commission on Accreditation endorsement of any commercial products.
The contact hours earned at IOL qualify for initial oncology nursing certification and renewal via ONC-PRO. See page 14 for more details on oncology nursing certification.
