ONS Capitol Hill Days

2016 ONS Nurses at the White House

2017 ONS Capitol Hill Days

After a successful 2016 Capitol Hill Days, ONS is pleased to be bringing 100 oncology nurses back to the nation's capital to learn about advocating for their patients and profession and meet with state legislators to discuss important issues. The 2017 ONS Capitol Hill Days will be held Wednesday, September 6–Thursday, September 7, in Washington, DC.

What to Expect

On Day 1, attendees will spend the day earning continuing nursing education contact hours and learning about advocacy, the current political environment, CMS and the Oncology Care Model, ONS’s policy agenda, and more. Day 2 will find attendees on Capitol Hill meeting with their state representative or senators.

As a bonus, all ONS Capitol Hill Days attendees are invited to the launch of the ONS Center for Advocacy and Health Policy on the evening of Tuesday, September 5.

Application Process

ONS will be seeking applications, including a letter of recommendation, from members across the United States to join us for these two days of education, networking, and advocacy. With only 100 slots available for this educational training conference, one representative per chapter is urged to apply. We are also seeking a wide geographic representation to demonstrate ONS’ national appeal, so don’t be shy in applying from the farthest reaches of the country.

Apply Now

The application process for the 2017 ONS Capitol Hill Days is now open. Talk to your chapter leaders, and apply to represent your chapter in DC before Monday, July 17. Please contact hilldays@ons.org with any questions.
