Health Volunteers Overseas

Health Volunteers OverseasHealth Volunteers Overseas (HVO) focuses on sustainable development in global health. They are dedicated to improving the availability and quality of health care through the education, training and professional development of the health workforce in resource-scarce countries. HVO recruits highly-qualified health care professionals to teach and train their counterparts overseas. HVO projects are started at the request of health care institutions in resources-scarce countries, and designed with their input to ensure they are meeting local health care needs.

HVO has volunteer opportunities for nurses at their Oncology and Hematology projects, as well as volunteer opportunities for nurse educators.  To start the volunteer placement process, visit the HVO website and complete a Volunteer Application.
