Bristol Myers Squibb is excited to present “CAR T Cell Therapy: The Science and the Patient Journey”, which will be presented by BMS Clinical Nurse Consultants, Sabrena Smith, MSN, RN, OCN and Kristen Miller, APRN, AOCNP on Tuesday, April 27th at 3:00 PM Eastern.

This program will feature key information regarding the science of CAR T cell therapy, including the function of the immune system, the mechanisms used by cancer cells to evade the immune system, the 5 components of a CAR T cell, as well as the function of a CAR T cell.

We will also review the patient journey over the course of CAR T cell therapy. Discussion will include the key steps in the patient journey and CAR T cell production, importance of the multidisciplinary care team in the patient journey, and finally the mechanism, monitoring, and management of select adverse events related to CAR T cell therapy.
