Come to ONS Congress® to Rejuvenate, Refocus, and Revitalize Your Mind

As you enter your final preparations for ONS Congress, take a moment to breathe and settle in. Once you arrive in San Antonio, the next five days of the conference will be a whirlwind experience. You will be alongside thousands of colleagues just like you—caring, compassionate, knowledgeable, innovative oncology nurses. Five tracks of educational sessions, numerous award lectures, intensive seminars are all vying for your attendance. The days will start early and end late with celebrations or bonus educational sessions, and the nights often linger on for just one more shared story with a new friend or an esteemed colleague before you get your much-deserved rest.

We understand, and we have the resources for you to make the most of your experience without any added stress. First, attend ONS Congress 101 to get a grasp on navigating through five days of top-notch offerings and get support for tools like audience polling or the conference app.

Next, take advantage of the ONS Zen Den in the Learning Hall, where you can prioritize your mental and physical well-being while you unwind and refresh. It features activities such as meditation, breath work, well-being education, a dog-petting lounge, and more!

Later, center your schedule around one of the many sessions on wellness or abstracts highlighting the impact of caregiving, including The Experience of Nurses as Double-Duty Caregivers for Family Members at the End of Life.

Or listen in on the Second Annual ONS Storytelling Session: Renewal. Stories allow us to share learnings, process our emotional reactions, and even help us find humor in work that is not at all funny.

Engage with panelists during The Oncology Nursing Foundation’s Mara Mogensen Flaherty Memorial Lecture: "Current Challenges, Nursing Sustainability."

Hear Alec Stone, MA, MPA, ONS’s Director of Government Affairs and Advocacy, present during Energized and Engaged: Getting Nurses to the Decision Table on Health Policy

And you don’t want to miss out on Friday afternoon’s Power session, centering on Mental Health of the Nurse: The Inescapable Certainty of Uncertainty: Maximizing Personal and Professional Wellness

Finally, lace up your sneakers for the 30th Annual Oncology Nursing Foundation/Pfizer Fun Run/Walk and Wheelchair event on Saturday at 6 am (sign up when you register for the conference or at the Pfizer booth #101).

As you can see, ONS Congress 2023 is packed full of sessions and activities to destress, focus inward, and learn something new about yourself. Join us to rejuvenate, refocus, and revitalize your mind and your practice
