Submit a Late-Breaking Abstract Today!
Teresa Thomas PhD, RN
Did you miss the ONS Congress abstract deadline in September because you were still finishing your data collection or analysis? You have another opportunity to submit an abstract
based on your recent work! The late-breaking abstracts allow researchers and clinicians who could not submit completed research during the general abstract submission period to still have the chance to present at the ONS 44th Annual Congress in Anaheim, CA, in April.
Late-breaking abstracts will be accepted December 10-January 10. This call is only for research and industry-sponsored abstracts. Your abstract will undergo peer review by three blinded reviewers, and the top abstracts will be accepted for either an oral or ePoster presentation and published in the Oncology Nursing Forum
. Notifications will be sent out in late February so that you have time to prepare your presentation.
Just like with any abstract, be sure to have the abstract guidelines handy to make sure you include the required information. It’s helpful to know the word limit, section headers, and any optional information. It’s also good to have your co-investigators and colleagues review your abstract before you submit it to make sure the abstract is clearly written, free of errors, and interpretable to others.
For more information and directions on how to submit, visit congress.ons.org. If you have questions about the abstracts or submission process, please email email@example.com
Finally, thank you to all the dedicated ONS members who have generously volunteered their time to review abstracts! We had a record number of abstract submissions, and without your commitment to ONS we would not be able to have such a strong cadre of posters and presentations at Congress!
