This renewal course is for those who have taken the Fundamentals of Administration course.
The Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Renewal Course builds on the lessons you received in the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Course to ensure that your chemotherapy and immunotherapy knowledge remains current and you’re continuing to progress as an experienced oncology RN.
Eligibility: If you have successfully completed the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Biotherapy Administration Course (please note that the course was updated on 4/17/19 to include immunotherapy content and prior to that, the name was changed on 3/1/18), you will be eligible to renew through this course, assuming that you are not more than 30 days past your expiration date. Check your ONS Provider Card or ONS profile for the expiration date of your card. If you are registering after your ONS Provider Card is expired, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to register for this course. This renewal course will renew the ONS Provider Card that you earned through the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Biotherapy Administration Course.
This course is offered on demand. Instructions on how to immediately access the course will be sent to you in an automatically generated email receipt after you register. You will enjoy continuous access for six months.
Upon completion of this activity, the learner will demonstrate knowledge of chemotherapy and immunotherapy administration by passing the post-test with score of > 80%.
This course is limited to nurses who took the Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Biotherapy Administration Course or Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration and presently hold and desire to maintain a current ONS Provider Card.
Candidates may claim 3.9 CNE or ILNA points in any area of their choosing on the following blueprint areas: Oncologic Emergencies, Professional Practice, Scientific Basis for Practice, Symptom Management, Treatment, Pre-Transplant Care, Preparative Regimens.
Candidates will not be able to place the 3.9 ILNA points under both categories as the number of points claimed cannot exceed the total CNE points for the offering.
