Renew your ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card and a certificate of added qualification!

This renewal course is for those who have already taken the certificate course. 

The ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Renewal™ course will guide you through four strategically planned case studies to ensure that your chemotherapy and immunotherapy knowledge stays current and you’re continuing to progress as an experienced oncology RN.

Eligibility: If you have earned your ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card and ONCC Certificate of Added Qualification through the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate™ course, you will be eligible to renew through the ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate Renewal™ course every two years, assuming that you are not more than 30 days past your expiration date. Check your ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card or ONS profile for the expiration date of your card.

This course is offered on demand. Instructions on how to immediately access the course will be sent to you in an automatically generated email receipt after you register.

You will enjoy access for 180 days from date of purchase, after which you will no longer be able to access the course.

To receive nursing continuing professional development (NCPD) contact hours, the following requirements must be met prior to the closing date and time of the course: 

  • Achieve 80% or higher on the post‐test. (Note: You will have two [2] attempts to achieve a score of 80% or higher on the post-test.)
  • Completion of the course evaluation. A course evaluation MUST be completed to be granted the NCPD contact hours. The evaluation link is locked until passing the post-test.

Expected Outcomes

Nurses providing care for and administering antineoplastic agents who have already earned the certificate of added qualification from ONCC.

ILNA Breakdown

Up to 4.5 ILNA points may be applied to Symptom Management, Palliative Care, Supportive Care OR Treatment. No more than 4.5 total points may be claimed for the program.

Frequently Asked Questions

I didn't pass the test. Can I retest?

Each learner will have two attempts to successfully pass the post-test. All attempts must be completed before the course closes.

If you are unsuccessful in meeting the requirements to earn NCPD within the stated time and test attempts or completion of the evaluation during your access to the course, ONS will not grant additional testing or evaluation opportunities, extensions, transfers, cancellations, or refunds. If you are unsuccessful in earning NCPD and wish to pursue additional attempts, you will need to purchase and register for access to a new course.
