  • Background and Fundamentals of Cancer Treatment: treatment types and goals, clinical trials, pharmcodynamics, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacogenomics, tumor sensitivity and resistance, dosing and combination therapy, nutrition during treatment
  • Localized Therapies: surgery (diagnostic and prophylactic surgery, surgical approaches, surgical effects and complications), radiation therapy (goals, planning, types, side effects)
  • Systemic Therapies: chemotherapy agents, hormonal therapy, biotherapy and targeted therapy, safety standards and safe handling, hematopoietic stem cell transplant
  • Complementary, Alternative, and Integrated Therapies: CAM
