The volunteer will work in quality improvement at a practice site and should have experience with quality measures and reporting. He or she should have an interest in developing resources and strategies for oncology nurses to implement evidence-based practice, helping them to measure change in the quality of care for patients with cancer and their caregivers.
Varies depending on the quality-related project, which changes from year to year. A typical time commitment involves monthly one-hour conference calls for 6–8 months.
An in-person, two-day meeting at the ONS national office in Pittsburgh, PA, may be required.
