A Note for Course Users and ONS Provider Cardholders

We’re excited to announce that your ONS course experience will be getting an upgrade in December! At that time, you’ll find new user-friendly features when you log in, like a course progress bookmark to hold your place, and an overall progress bar to let you know how much of the course you have left to finish. The upgrade will also allow ONS to present a more comprehensive offering of interactive learning resources. 

While we make the transition, here are a few things you need to know. 

  • Your access to existing courses and ONS Provider Card records is expected to be unavailable from Thursday, December 5 through Monday, December 16 while we make the switch. 

  • If your ONS Provider Card expires between November 4 and December 16, you will be permitted to register for the renewal course through January 31. All late fees will be waived.  

  • If you are already enrolled in a course, you will have until June 13, 2020 to complete your course to ensure the downtime of the system does not impact your learning objectives. 

  • In the new platform, ONS will refer to Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) as Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD). You’ll hear more about this change in the coming weeks as it’s implemented throughout ONS and other nursing organizations.
