ONS Member Satisfaction Remains High

Thank you to those of you who participated in the 2011 ONS Member Satisfaction and Engagement Survey! Participation in this year’s survey was up 63%, with more than 2,500 of you providing the valuable feedback that will help us to better serve your needs. View the entire executive summary here.

You’ll note that overall, 84% of respondents are “Very Satisfied” (49%) or “Satisfied” (35%) with their ONS membership—up from 77% last year. 70% of respondents consider their ONS membership to be either far more valuable (43%) or somewhat more valuable (27%) than other professional membership organizations they belong to—still very positive, but down from 75% last year. 94% of respondents definitely will (85%) or probably will (9%) renew their ONS membership this year—up from 92% last year. And 84% of respondents definitely will (63%) or probably will (21%) recommend ONS membership to a friend or colleague—up from 81% last year.

While this data is very positive, we also heard from you that we still have work to do. To that end, you will be hearing more from us in the coming weeks and months about the ways in which we are going to be improving the navigation and content on the ONS website, addressing the cost relative to value of the Society’s products and services, and improving overall customer service.
