In this four-part series, you’ll meet John, a 67-year-old Black man with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and his daughter Margaret. Follow them through his diagnosis, treatment, and end-of-life decisions while considering the impact of race on his care. Case studies will focus on access to biomarker testing, treatment decision-making, enrollment in clinical trials, and end-of-life care. Many of the scenarios incorporate the use of telemedicine throughout John’s cancer journey and the opportunities and barriers it may present in his care.
